Organize feeding in a multi-dog home
Separate, predictable meals make it easier to see what each dog actually eats.
Start with the setting
Use individual feeding spaces when competition or interference is possible. Keep children and other pets away while the dogs eat.
Make the routine practical
Measure each dog’s allowance and include food given in training. Label containers and leave clear instructions for other carers.
Review and adapt
Record leftovers and sudden changes. Do not repeatedly challenge a dog by taking food away to test their behavior.
Keep a useful record
Write down what you tried, what changed and what you want to ask next. Community discussion can share experience, while individual health or behavior concerns need appropriately qualified help.
